Answer his calls and tell him that you will call him soon as you are busy somewhere and never call back. Soon, after making multiple attempts, he will realize you are ignoring him and he will stop making efforts to win you.

Never give him false hopes:

Never give back his affection that he shows towards you because that will only give him false hopes. Don't try to care for him only for the sake of friendship as it can deliver the wrong message. If you are sure about your feelings, just listen to his affectionate words and don't reciprocate, it will definitely hurt him but it is for his good.
