We have always seen how Sikhs all across the globe help the one in need. They are always the ones who will come together to participate for a good cause. Whether it is feeding the millions of poor, or saving the stray animals from cruelty or distributing the Langar during the bushfires in Australia.
And one more of such example is when the New York-based Sikh community distributed Langar to the protestors who were protesting against racism (Black Lives Matter) in the wake of the killing of George Floyd.

Sikh community from the Queens Center served hundreds of people a proper meal containing Rajma-Rice, Mattar Paneer, and a fair portion of Kheer. They made sure that nobody sleeps an empty stomach. The distributed thousands of water bottles and Soda cans too.

The Gurudwara Sahib of New York, in Queens Village, has served more than 1,45,000 free meals in the past 10 weeks. Over 30 cooks are working day and night for the noble cause.
In a Facebook post, Kalgidhar Trust - Baru Sahib shared a picture of while serving food to protestors in New York:
While talking to New York Times, Himmat Singh, coordinator at the World Sikh Parliament told talked about those who are peacefully protesting against the wrongdoings by the authorities, we are helping them by serving them with whatever we can.
