Kabir Singh released on Friday 21st June and we have been seeing several people including the B-Town A-listers such as Karan Johar applauding the movie but here is what you need to know before you contribute your due share in Indian cinema's misogyny.
There literally are scenes such as when Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) threatened a nurse by unzipping his pant, kissed a girl he barely knew without consent, forced a girl to undress at knifepoint and oh the famous scene where the entire audience went cheering where he chases his maid out with the intention of beating the shit out of her.

For those of you all who don't know, Kabir Singh is the remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy and there literally is no difference except the names. Almost as if one time was not enough, Director wanted to glorify men being misogynistic and you know what's worse?
These men in lead get away with the fact that they are heroes and by looking at them, the fans especially men thinks they look cool if they are harassing a girl.

Anger issues? Are you kidding us? This crap cinema inspires a breed of men who think treating women like this is okay. Abuse is a much more serious issue than what is shown in the movie and in the end, Kabir Singh is excused because he supposedly loved the lead actress.
It's high time that these Bollywood directors start understanding the audience they are catering to and should think beyond how to make money. Cinema is the biggest source of information and influence in our country on masses bar age, bar custom bar any fucking difference and if Directors are going to make men such as Arjun Reddy or Kabir Singh look like heroes, they only are giving their blessings to men who go ahead and abuse women.

Bollywood, we expect good from you...if you are going to deliver such movies then think of the result of what you are pushing to the young or mid-aged audience! You know how women are treated in the world and especially here in our country. Instead of such crap, make movies which are worth the good for both genders of the society.
