Baahubali Returns, Netflix Announced The Prequel Of Baahubali Series - The Rise Of Sivagami

Good news for all the Baahubali fans!! After the two successful parts of the movie, Netflix planned to team up with the original Baahubali universe team, including Arka Media Works and the director SS Rajamouli, Deva Katta and Praveen Sataru(film-makers).

Netflix announced the prequel to the movie today (2 August 2018).

The first series of the prequel will comprise of 9 episodes and the series will be based on Anand Neelakantan's book, The Rise of Sivagami. This series will focus on the Queen Sivagami's journey from a rebellious and vengeful girl to a wise and superior queen.

In addition, the prequel will also focus on how Power and politics set close to one another which help Mahishmati from being a city-state to an empire. The series promises to follow an incredible narrative style from the previous franchise - including its high production values, spectacular visuals, and a connecting epic story-telling.

SS Rajamouli, Director said,

Both the parts of Baahubali had been made in the budget of $40 million, making the whole movie the most expensive Indian production ever.
