Baking a cake is something that many people love. But baking it perfectly is a skill that only few can master. But here is a new way of making a cake even if you are doing it for the first time. If you don't own an oven it doesn't mean you can't make it, the catch is, for baking a cake you can use an air fryer which is the best alternative after the oven.
In today's recipe we are going to make an Almond Vanilla cake.
Here are the simple and easy steps to make a cake in an air fryer.
Take a 5-inch size cake tin and grease it with oil and sprinkle it with a little all-purpose flour.
After greasing the cake tin keep it aside.
Preheat the Air Fryer at 200 degree Celsius for 5 mins.
Take a large mixing bowl, add 2/3rd Cups (85g) of caster sugar and 1/2 cup (118ml) of oil in the bowl and mix both the things together till the mixture becomes smooth.
Once the mixture becomes smooth, add 2/3rd Cups (85g) of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 5 tablespoons of oil into the mixture.
Mix everything till sand-like mixture is formed.
Add 1/2 cup (118ml) of Milk into the sand like mixture and mix everything till a smooth sticky like batter is formed.
Once the batter is ready, add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and beat the batter together.
Add 20-25 crushed almonds/nuts (you can put 15-25 raisins too) into the batter for the extra flavour.
After adding the almonds/raisins into the batter mix everything together to form a smooth sticky batter.
Once everything is mixed together.
Pour the batter into the cake tin that you have greased with the oil.
After emptying the batter into the cake tin, keep the cake tin in the preheated air fryer at 200 degree Celsius for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, poke a toothpick into the cake upper layer to see whether the cake is ready or not (it is called toothpick cake test). If the batter sticks on the toothpick, keep the cake back in the fryer for 6-10 minutes (you have to keep an eye on it as your cake can overheat), And, if the batter does not stick to the toothpick then take the tin out of the fryer.
After removing the cake from the fryer let it cool down.
Once the cake gets to a room temperature, remove it from the cake tin and place it on a serving plate.
Your Almond Vanilla Cake is ready.
Note: For more fanciness, you can put cream, candied fruits, cherry, bubble gum estuary with a tropical nuance for the double extra flavour.
Make sure you beat the sugar and oil together till it becomes smooth else the taste will not be as good as you wanted it to be.
Don't forget to pre-heat the Air Fryer as it will help with baking the cake properly from inside.
Don't forget to grease the cake tin as it will be easier to remove the cake from the tin once it is ready.
Always poke a toothpick into the cake to check if it cooked properly from inside or not before you remove it from the air fryer.
Be careful while placing and removing the cake tin in the air fryer, so that your hand doesn't burn. Use tongs or a pincer (Chimta/Pakkad) to remove the cake tin from the air fryer.
