Well, the relationship between a boss and his employees is a bittersweet one. Your boss is a very important person in your life. Probably more important than your mother also because the chance of you thinking about (and murdering) your boss is always higher than any individual in your life. Your girlfriend or boyfriend should not be worried about your exes, they should be worried about you thinking all the time about your boss. Have you seen that meme where a woman is sleeping next to her husband and wondering what he is thinking about and the man is completely clueless? He was probably thinking about his boss only. However, having a sweeter relationship with your boss is recommended more than the bitter-sweet one. If not for himself, then for your own sake only.

If you have a hateful relationship with your boss you would not want to go to your office at all. What they say about Monday blues will be your everyday blues and you might also end up crying in the office. All this does not sound lovely at all, no? You need to go to a place to which you feel welcomed. You have to have a positive working environment for better performance.

You have to have your boss's favour and trust, they should be able to count on you. There are days that they are overworked and have pressure from above and there will be days when you will go through the same. Together, you need to learn the balance.
