Is it not weird that we have started asking for answers we never thought we will need? Being good-mannered was drilled into us from a very young age yet some of us do not understand how professional practices operate. We give way to rude and inconsiderate communication. Customers might be kings but there isa certain way to communicate with your beautician.
Agreed makeup artists are the technical expert but if you are new to the place do not trust them blindly. If you are a regular customer at their salon that means they understand you by now but if you are still relatively new then make them clear about what you want.
We acknowledge the fact that we told you to give clear instructions but remember there is a way of saying things and an extent as well. You cannot excel them at their job. You want something and they know how to deliver it best. Do not piss them off.
Honestly? Do not say this unless and until you are familiar or you have good intentions. If you mean any insult, understand that this person can ruin your look and you will have to put up with it.

Just like how you have some good days at work and some bad days, they do too. Yes, it is unfortunate for you to be present on their bad day but that does not mean you get to insult them.
You do not look like any industry; you just need to be a hard-working person. If this person had enough money to invest in themselves they will not be sitting there at your service. Keep the personal attack on your peers.

If you want a service like an XYZ salon then go to the XYZ salon. You came to that salon with your own choice, nobody forced you to be there, and you went there with your own will.
It is not in the hands of any employee to give you that, it is just cheap of you to even ask them.
We just saved you from your beautician wrath, so kindly not say these things to them.
