Mother's are extraordinary creatures who spend half of their lives living for other people and we only acknowledge their contributions on Mother's day with Archie's card or the last minute bought clothing item from Myntra. We become comfortable with them and their presence makes us feel safe. They know us better than we know ourselves, they give birth to us so it is understandable why. Mother's make every situation better and it doesn't matter how old we grow, we will always want to hang out with them.
Shopping becomes one of our favorite activities with them and here are a few reasons why.
If you are someone who is very punctual and hate it when people get late then, you don't have to worry about that with your mother because she is always particular about time.
Mother's make life inevitable easier for all of us and when you are going shopping with them, they *voluntarily* do all the strenuous work of deciding where to go, how to reach there, what time to leave etc.
Mother's never truly understand the new trends and fashion (sometimes even we don't). Not only do you get an endless supply of laughter from their reactions to new fashion but they also prevent you from getting another pair of torn jeans which you will regret later.
It's always fun when you are shopping until you reach the cashing counter and your once full wallet empties itself out. When you are with your mom, you don't have to worry about paying.
It can be annoying sometimes when you are shopping with your mom because you feel like you have to buy only what she likes but you should trust her advice, after all, experience shows for itself.
With your mom, you never have to worry about an empty stomach. She makes sure that you stuff your face with food and knowing the foodie that you are, you love it.
"Did I really buy this?" said every post-shopping guilty person ever. When you are with your mom, you don't have to worry about being one of them.
Brutally honest, of course.
"Are you sure you want to buy this? You look like a schoolgirl?"
"You look shorter in these pants, don't buy them."
A mom's face lights up when she starts to shop for herself, she is always accustomed to giving more time to other people than herself.
This is something all children learn to do with their parents and till we grow, we become professionals in this task. "Mom you made me buy this, I didn't even like it."
Your mother always keeps you upbeat and smiling, with her getting tired is not a possible situation. Time seems to fly away when you are with her and you realize why she is the best.
It's tough to stand out in a crowd where everyone is wearing similar clothes but you end up standing out because of your classy dresses and neat shirts.
As we grow up, we begin to talk with our mother's less with each passing day. But a day spent shopping with them can renew your status as BFFs.
She also remembers to carry your father's credit cards. You feel like the queen of the mall and you rampage the store with as many clothes as you can fit in your arms.
If you are one of those people who hates shopping and takes time in picking out clothes for themselves then, your mother becomes your savior.
"I don't know if I should buy a blue or grey pair of pants."
"You already have a pair of grey pants, they are kept on the right side of your second shelf in your closet."
A shopping trip with your mother can help you re-evaluate your preconceived notions about her ways of thinking. Crop tops or low waist jeans don't bother her.
Shopping for Indian wedding's can be a very stressful task but with your mother, the task is reduced to a few fun-filled hours and many visits to the changing room.
"You look so pretty in this dress, nobody will look better than you in the wedding."
Mom, please.
With your mother, even window shopping becomes a hundred times more enjoyable and you love to comment on all the pieces worn by the mannequins.
