In these recent time, we have got a lot of gems in our Indian football team and here we have our Ronaldo Bhai, who fought all the difficulties coming his way and made his space in the Indian national football team.
We always see the success ladder of such passionate footballer's but the hardships which they have faced in their life has to be told to each one of you.
Nishu Kumar is the son of a school peon at Janta Inter College. His love for football is not new. When he was 5 years old, he started playing football and professionally, he began his career at the age of 12 years at Chandigarh Football Academy. In 2015, the life was changed for the Muzaffarnagar boy when he was signed by Bengaluru FC for a sum of Rs. 1 crore.
From then, he never looked back; it was his sheer dedication and hard work which made him play for AFC under-19 football team. And now, he is playing for the Indian Football Team.
"Nishu is exceptional. He practiced day and night. I only guided him with my limited resources and abilities, but it was his hard work and determination that made him what he is today. Otherwise, football is unheard of in the region. There is not a single stadium, forget about financial assistance. There is a lot of hidden talent here, but the government hardly pays attention to this sport".
Nishu told about how he grabbed the opportunity to play for the Chandigarh club and why he began playing the game of football - To this he answered, he started playing football because it is the cheapest game - it just need a ball.
"We used to play football on the school ground under the guidance of our school sports teacher. Gradually, I became increasingly involved in the sport. And, one day an opportunity came in the form of trials at Chandigarh Football Club in which I qualified".
