In the year 2020, Manila Pradhan, the Sikkim girl became the Supermodel of the Year winner. For her the journey to be model wasn't easy at all. Manila Pradhan Facts/Bio:

1. Manila Pradhan was born into a middle-class family. She is from Namchi, Sikkim.
2. She has a birthmark on her left arm. She never hides it through makeup because she feels that's the beauty that is not to be hidden.
3. Her parents were not in favour of her acting ambitions.
4. She wanted to pursue fashion designing. However, her parents wanted her to do her graduation in Pharmacy, so she followed what her parents said.
5. Since childhood, she wanted to become an actor.

6. Once, one of her extended family members said it in front of her parents that she would not achieve anything in her life. That taunt literally hit her so hard that she worked cats and dogs to fulfill her dreams.

8. After her graduation, she did acting and theatre course from Mumbai.
9. She is a food lover and she cannot control herself when there is a non-vegetarian food in front of her.
10. She applied for Femina Miss India Northeast but got rejected because of her short height.

12. She was an underdog in the MTV supermodel, yet came out to be the strongest with her grit and determination. And the beautiful walk of her was her BIGGEST charm.
13. After coming off as a winner of MTV Supermodel of the year, she said in an interview:
    
    "It's not less than a dream come true for me. One of the strongest things that I learned and would like to take away with me from this journey is to be yourself. That is your ultimate power that nobody can have. All the judges on the show and the mentors were great. But I really have a special intangible connection and a soft corner for Malaika maam and Ujjwala maam. No matter how much they shouted at me, but in the end, it was for my betterment and personal growth."
