Ghazal Alagh is an investor and the co-founder of Mamaearth. Ghazal was born on 02 September 1988 in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

In 2016, she started Mamaearth with her husband Varun Alagh. It's an Indian brand which is based in Gurugram, Haryana. The company offers natural baby care products. The products are certified toxin-free brand which is free of all known toxins which are banned in most countries. In 2022, Mamaearth became the first unicorn of 2022; it is valued at $1.2 billion.

In 2011, Ghazal and Varun tied the knot. The couple has also been blessed with a son, whose name is Agastya Alagh and the couple is expecting their second child, soon. Her father's name is Kailash Sahni and her mother's name is Sunita Sahni. She has 2 siblings: her brother's name is Chirag Sahni and her sister's name is Sahiba Chauhan.

How Mamaearth started:

It started when Ghazal Alagh's own son got allergic to the baby care products available in the Indian market. She used to buy products from abroad and to her surprise, there were almost no Indian brands that were selling nontoxic products. That's when Ghazal and Varun realized the gap between baby care products and good baby care products. Later after thinking and planning on how to build the empire, in 2016, they started with brand Mamaearth.

She loves painting. She has been recognized among the top ten women artists in India. Her paintings are loved nationally and internationally at various art galleries.

She did graduation in BCA from Panjab University. Later in 2013, she did a course in figurative arts from the New York Academy of Arts.

Career:

Before Mamaearth she was a trainee in NIIT Limited. During her jobs days, she has trained managers and engineers from various IT companies in SQL, J2ME, and Oracle. She started her first business in 2012. She created a diet plan website Dietexpert.com. They used to provide a customized diet plan for her clients. The chart was planned and made by collecting the weight, age, lifestyle, habits, blood group, and much other information.

Everyday schedule:

Ghazal is an early riser. She wakes up at 5:30 am to do some yoga followed by reading books for 30-60 minutes. She then plans her day's schedule.
