Bhagat Singh is a symbol of bravery, his fight for justice which cannot be overlooked. He is the soul who has inspired millions by his words and actions. He was just 23 when he was hanged, even in difficult situations he used to smile with pride. His efforts has helped us live with such a great pride and dignity. His great life lessons will always be in our heart.
1. When he was born, his grandmother called him Bhagwanwala
2. He was a teenager when he joined Hindustan Republican Association (HRA).
3. Bhagat Singh always carried a photo with him and that photo was of Kartar Singh Sarabha because he used to admire him a lot.
4. He carries a small bottle which was filled with mud stained with blood from Jalianwala Bagh Incident.
And why he carried that because that inspired him to fight bravely against the Britishers.
5. When he was born, his father Kishan Singh and 2 of his uncles were released from the jail. His Father and uncles were also freedom fighters.
6. In his college life, Bhagat Singh like to act in various plays. Some of the plays like 'Samrat Chandragupta' and 'Rana Pratap', he was praised for his acting.
7. Inquilab Zindabad, the most powerful slogan of all time was coined by Bhagat Singh.
8. For the sake of our Independence, He cut his hair and shaved his beard to prevent himself for being arrested for the killing. He managed to escape from Lahore to Calcutta.
9. When he was in the court hearing, he did not gave any defence in favour of him, rather he talked about the idea of India's freedom.
10. When he was in jail, he went for a hunger strike for 116 days because, foreign prisoners used to get special treatment from the jail authorities.
11. He was hanged 11 hours before the actual time. The day was 23 March 1931, 7:30 PM when he was hanged.
12. When he was taken to the gallows, he had a smile on his face and he was
chanting slogans against the British Raj.
13. This was the last photo of Bhagat Singh which was taken in July 1927.
This is what our Bhagat Singh was. The name itself make us feel so proud to say that we are Indian's. His sacrifice which we all cannot forget, the bravery we get when we say his name 'BHAGAT SINGH' is just WOW.
