Before coming into the music industry, AP was working as a sales associate for a few years in a private company in Canada. Dhillon started his singing/rapping career with 2019 singles like Top Boy, Fake, and Faraar.

In 2020, AP Dhillon released his first album (includes 7 songs), Not by Chance. All the songs got in the top five of the Official Punjabi Music chart in the UK. Song "Excuses" by Intense, peaked at number 3 on UK Asian and topped the UK Punjabi chart.

In the same year, in collaboration with Gurinder Gill and Shinda Kahlon; he released Brown Munde which went viral worldwide.
