In a major landmark where 8.3 million signatures were collected against the animal testing for cosmetics. Even, Jacqueline Fernandez who is a supporter of this movement since the starting took over those petition signatures to the UN Headquarters in New York City.

The Body Shop is the non-profit organization and also the first international skin care brand who campaigns against the animal testing in cosmetics industry, and to end Cruelty against the animals while testing cosmetics product.

These petitions which they have collected from the people around the world will going to play a remarkable role to prevent animal cruelty and also, it will urge the UN countries to come up with a proper structure to end animal testing for cosmetics.

According to Cruelty Free International's personal research, around 500,000 animals are used to test the cosmetics (the data is of each year).

She said in an interview:
Today, as we stand vindicated and proud that the campaign has touched a chord with so many across the world, inspired and ignited men and women, customers and fans, young and old, believers and cynics; it is time to take this to its logical conclusion. It's time to ban animal testing forever and everywher.
