Having grown up in India, the career options that I was presented with were extremely limited and in more serious terms, suffocating. We have been given a list of ‘respected' careers that seem to guarantee a successful and more importantly, wealthy life. They include lawyer, doctor, engineer and IAS officer. If you are like me and you want to explore different career options that may not be approved by your parents or relatives but will guarantee you a happy life.

Here are a few professions you can try your hand at to make your life more interesting.

1. HACKING IS A CRIMINAL ACTIVITY BUT NOT WHEN IT IS ETHICAL

Your mother and father may not be very happy with your profession choice but you would need to use your convincing skills in order to tell them you are an ‘ethical' hacker. Many companies would pay you to hack computers for security reasons.

2. WE ALL LOVE OUR CHAI, YOU COULD BE A TEA TASTER

Most of us in India start our day by drinking a cup of tea and if we don't, our day doesn't start well. If your passion for tea is immense then you can turn it into a career, excited much?

3. FOOD FLAVORIST, YES THIS IS A REAL JOB

This fantastic career requires you to add flavors to the food and make it taste good. Are you now starting to regret your choice of course in college?

4. DOG'S ARE BETTER THAN HUMANS, PERIOD

When we think of a workplace we imagine being surrounded by humans but what if your day was filled with petting dogs. In that case, you could be a pet groomer. This will require you to enhance a pet's hygiene and appearance.

5. WOMEN LIFT OTHER WOMEN UP, DOULA IS THE WAY TO GO

A doula is a woman who offers professional pregnancy and birth support services. Along with offering emotional and physical support, a doula may also help a mother conduct research and uncover important information.

Hippotherapy is the practice of riding horses as a form of therapy for children and adults who experience disabilities. It can also be used for therapeutic riding in order to enhance the patients' levels of interaction, recreation, and socialization.

Now, I know this is unethical but this article wasn't promising careers that you can easily explain to other people. As a fake facebooker, you pose as someone you are not to help your client achieve their motive, you get paid for it too.

8. BECOME A LIVE MANNEQUIN OR A HUMAN STATUE

You will stand as a live mannequin in storefronts where you could occasionally change poses and possibly outfits. You may interact with customers or just strictly act like a conventional mannequin.

9. BE A PHOTOJOURNALIST, SEE YOUR PICTURES APPEAR IN THE NEWSPAPER

If you're someone who enjoys clicking pictures of anything and everything and at the same time, wants to earn money then you can become a photojournalist.

10. TELL YOUR MOM THAT VIDEO GAMES CAN MAKE YOU RICH

Did you know that people are actually paid to play video games? You probably never thought that you could earn a living playing video game that haven't even been released to the market yet.

11. MAKE THE WORLD A MORE FASHIONABLE PLACE

Being a fashion designer can not only make you immensely wealthy and famous, it can make your life more happening and chic. A fashion designer works with fabrics, colors, and models and hence, their lives never stop being fabulous.

12. HEAL PEOPLE THROUGH ART AND EARN MONEY WHILE DOING IT

Imagine helping people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds find peace with their vices and issues through a healthy form of art expression.

13. KNOW CHOCOLATE, KNOW LIFE

Far more than just a chocolate maker, a chocolatier is a professionally trained chef who specializes in all things chocolate, from creation to creativity, to history.
