Love is a beautiful thing and can put you in the state of euphoria where you feel untouchable. If your love reaches its peak and you do end up with someone you genuinely love and care for it just adds to your happiness. The same thing happened to Sumeet Vyas who is the Veere Di wedding actor and has also starred in Permanent roommates web series. His lady love Ekta Koul is a TV actress hailing from Jammu and Kashmir.
They both are going to tie the knot on 15 September in Jammu in a preferably low key wedding in presence of close ones. When asked about it he was quick to admit his wedding date but due to his work he was going to be busy and Ekta would manage the whole wedding.
Sumeet had a rocky love life when he parted his ways with his first wife Shivani Taskale in 2017. However, fate intervened and Ekta Koul came into his life and became a permanent fixture in his life. The whirlwind romance now is culminating in a marriage which is a lifetime of commitment and love.
Sumeet gushes about Ekta Koul and how she was unaffected by his fame and would always wonder why people would want his autograph or photograph even. She didn't care much about his fame that he got from portraying Mikesh, a character from Permanent Roommate series.
In a post on Humans of Bombay Sumeet goes on to say, "It's not one big moment when you know you've met 'the one'. It's how they make you feel every day; if they make you a better person. And she does. But one stand out moment was last year during Holi! I rode my motorcycle to a party and had a little bit of bhang. I was in no state to ride. She saw that and took the keys - I thought she was joking! I mean it was a Bullet! But she just got on and off we went me in the backseat and my lady driving the bullet. I was thinking then, Man! I'm going to marry her! She's the one!"
If this isn't extremely sweet he was also blown by her nonchalance to his fame. She was quite unaffected by his fame and that really made an impression on Sumeet who wanted a person who didn't measure him by his fame but by the kind of person he is.
Like every love story, they did have their point of breaking, there was a whirlwind of confusion when Ekta realized that acting wasn't for her and went back to Jammu. Sumeet didn't want to lose her and in a bid to make this relationship work he popped the question on his birthday.
Talking about this Sumeet says, "This year on my birthday, I popped the question! She was so happy, she had this childlike smile on her face, and I swear even though I gave her a ring, it's me who found the diamond!".
They are about to be married and their story is as endearing and sweet it can get. We hope they get every happiness they rightfully deserve and also live a happily ever after the kind talked about in the quintessential fairy tales.
