She completed her schooling from New Holy Public School, New Delhi, India and due to weak financial condition she didn't attend the college. Later in 2006, she got married to Neeraj Sharma.

Talking about her career, she was inclined towards music from her younger age. She started singing Bhajans at a young age of 5. Slowly she started getting offers from Rishikesh and nearby places for singing in Jagrans and Chowki. She shifted to Mumbai and participated in the Channel V reality show "India Pop Star". She didn't won the competition but was noticed by the famous Indian Music Director Sandeep Chowta who gave her the first song "Babuji Zara Dhire Chalo".
