We know what's happening in Jamia, JNU, and many other colleges and universities across the country. People across the country are protesting against the Citizenship Act, peacefully. Many biggies from Bollywood like Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, Zoya Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Vishal Bhardwaj, Dia Mirza and Anubhav Sinha also supported JNU students protest.
Last night on Tuesday evening, Chhapaak actress Deepika Padukone came in support of the ongoing JNU protests with students who were attacked by masked goons. Although it takes guts to come openly to support such cause and Deepika being the fearless lady stand in solidarity with students. She came to meet the students who got injured by the masked goons.
Even though, during her presence she didn't speak on the ongoing situation, but some people on Twitter started trending #BoycottChhapaak. One user tweeted "I was your big fan but you did a very cheap publicity stunt..."
