Type or paste your Bollywood heartthrob Amit Sadh was born in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Amit's date of birth is 5th June 1983. He did his graduation from La Martiniere College, Lucknow.

His father was Ram Chandra Dogra who was a National Level Hockey Player for the army, Amit lost his father when he was just 16 years old, and not much is known about his mother. Talking about his siblings, he has an elder sister whose name is Anu Gaur.

During his school days, Amit was very much involved in sports and he was very good at it. As a child, he wanted to become either a sportsman or an actor.

Relationship/Girlfriend:

Not much information is available about his personal life but there were reports of him dating 1. Actress Neeru Bajwa, 2. The costume Designer Niharika, 3. Brazilian Model Annabel DaSilva in the past.

Amit Sadh Early life/Professional life:

When Amit was 16 years old, he worked as a security guard at Benetton to earn money and for his living, he even washed utensils at people's house. He did all of this to earn money and work towards his life dreams.

Leaving his home in Punjab, Amit moved out of home at the age of 21 and shifted to Mumbai to catch up his dreams as an actor. He made his debut with a Neena Gupta production show called "Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr" in the year 2002. In 2003 he did the show "Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeewqat", then in the same year he did "Awaz- Dil Se Dil Tak". In 2004 he was seen in shows like "Kkoi Dil Mein Hai", "Miss India", "Saaksshi" and "Guns and Roses". In 2005 he did the shows "Kohinoor" and reality television show "Nach Baliye 1". In 2007 he then became a contestant from the shows "Bigg Boss 1" and "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi".

While working hard, in the year 2010 he visited New York and went to "The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute" to do an acting course. With acting in many shows and movies he has been a part of many reality shows as well.

Many reports in the past came to light that after Neeru Bajwa left him he had got involved in a lot of alcohol and drugs due to which he faced anger issues. And all the sudden setbacks, his acting career show a downfall.

The biggest break of his career:

After doing some small roles since then, he got his big break in the Salman Khan Movie, Sultan. After that, there is no looking back. Along with doing many shows and movies, Amit has also played many roles in different web series, like he played the role of "Kabir Sawant" in Amazon Prime Original shows called "Breathe" (2018) and "Breathe: Into the Shadows" (2020). In 2020 he also did a Sony LIV web show called "Avrodh: The Siege Within", where he played the role of "Major Videep Singh".

With doing a lot of shows, he has also been a part of many Bollywood movies and has played many important supporting roles in different movies. He made his debut in Bollywood in the year 2010 with the movie "Phoonk 2". In 2012, he did "Maximum", in 2013 he was seen in the movie "Kai Po Che".

In 2015 he was seen in "Guddu Rangeela" and "Sultan". In 2016 he was seen in movies like "Akira" and "Saat Kadam". In 2017 he did "Running Shaadi", "Sarkar 3", and "Raag Desh". In the year 2018, he was a part of the movies "Baarish Aur Chowmein", "Gold", "Jack and Dil". In 2019, he did "Super 30" and"Barot House". In 2020 he did three movies, "Operation Parindey", "Yaara" and "Shakuntala Devi".

Amit Sadh Hobbies, Cars and Pets:

This actor loves doing photography, rock climbing, bike riding, kayaking, reading, and also loves to write. He owns a Jeep and a Land Rover Discovery and also owns a Ducati bike. He also loves to travel a lot and often goes for vacations to places without his cellphone.

He is a fitness freak; he follows a vegan diet and goes to the gym every day. He is a very pet-friendly person and owns 3 dogs.

His Controversies/Interviews:

Facing his share of challenges, Amit in an interview said that he tried to commit suicide at least four times when he was around 16 years old. He has seen his share of difficulties and has worked and fought through them to reach where he is today.

Without any godfather in the acting industry, this brilliant actor who ran away from home after losing his father lived on the streets and then went on working as a servant at someone's house to earn money. From living in gutters to working as a servant, to earning popularity and respect, he for sure has come a really long way in life.

He has built his career from scratch and to date works very hard to keep up his good work and prove himself that hard work pays off and if you believe in yourself you can achieve whatever you want in life.
